The original Kali 2020 is missing lots of programs needed for hacking, and even the ones installed, some are not configured properly, so please try this custom version that works perfectly with most of the security courses.
Is it possible to wget a google drive file? If so, what is the path to provide? If not, are there any alternatives (bash or other) so I can avoid downloading the file to my local and transferring it to the remote?

Very Interesting . Got the book and had a scroll through it . Very useful treatise of the various insides of Linux but only 20 or so pages of 344 on the use of Kali to check anything . I'll go over the book in detail when I download and try the distro but it just seems to be someones general release of a linux distro with their name on it with very little new stuff in it.

you can try, if you are on firefox, installing cliget addon. For every file that you want to download program show you curl, wget or aria2 direct link for downloading that file. I use that to download files on other machines via ssh because it's much faster for me to download directly to remote computer then to upload that file from my computer. This also work with dropbox, gdrive etc.

Note that if you download a newer Arch Linux ISO file such as archlinux-2021.04.01-x86_64.iso, then you need to update the archisolabel to ARCH_202104. You can also find out what the label should be by mounting the Arch Linux ISO in your file manager. The label will be shown in your file manager.
